{"id":4729,"date":"2022-03-06T10:15:43","date_gmt":"2022-03-06T10:15:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/involvement.co.ke\/?p=4729"},"modified":"2022-03-06T10:15:43","modified_gmt":"2022-03-06T10:15:43","slug":"daystar-student-mysteriously-goes-missing-after-going-out-for-food","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/invo.nyarango.me\/index.php\/2022\/03\/06\/daystar-student-mysteriously-goes-missing-after-going-out-for-food\/","title":{"rendered":"Daystar Student Mysteriously Goes Missing After Going Out for Food"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Sumaya Hussein<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A student from Daystar University, Athi River, has been reported missing by the school\u2019s administration after a two-week disappearance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Paul Charles Agesa was last seen on the evening of Sunday, February 20, when he left to get food off-campus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to his roommate and friend, Agesa had spent the entire day indoors before leaving at around 7 pm with only his phone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAfter going to the gym, he showers then goes off campus because he\u2019s the one who volunteers to get us supper,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nebad Kisanya, Agesa\u2019s father, said the last time they heard from the third-year ACS student was when he sent a birthday message to his father and sister in their WhatsApp family group.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOn Monday morning, I happened to call but I did not find him. His phone was off.\u201d he said, \u201cUsually when he\u2019s in class, his phone goes off. But later in the evening, he calls back.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The school sent out an alert on February 27, urging the students for assistance in tracing Agesa\u2019s whereabouts.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4730\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4730\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4730 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/invo.nyarango.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/WhatsApp-Image-2022-03-06-at-12.37.55-PM-1-200x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4730\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A photo of Paul Charles Egesa. Photo courtesy of his friend.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Speaking to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NTV<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Dean of Students, Rev. Mutinda Musyimi, disclosed that investigations within the campus were futile.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe very first question we asked ourselves is who are his closest friends? Is it possible he went to see them? But we talked to those friends but none of them seems to know where he is,\u201d said Rev Musyimi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Police have begun an investigation and are looking into his call data as a primary lead. His Safaricom line could not be traced as of Thursday however, his Telkom line was tracked to Kibwezi, 168km away from the campus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe\u2019ve sent a communication to all the students so that we can work together on this, but that has not yielded any fruit,\u201d said Rev Musyimi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agesa\u2019s family is calling on the Daystar Fraternity to assist in finding their son.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Sumaya Hussein A student from Daystar University, Athi River, has been reported missing by the school\u2019s administration after a two-week disappearance.
